WHY am I blogging at 4;45 am?

THIS is the reason. Just minutes ago all of that red was directly over us. Now it's heading to the east of us.

3:59 am -- Audrey cries. I get up to get a bottle. I sneak one Thin Mint cookie. Bad mommy.

4:03 am -- I go to the bathroom before feeding Audrey. I hear the tornado siren. I wake Dallas to confirm that this is what I'm hearing.

4:04 am -- we turn on the TV, see a tornado warning, and the worst of the storm is expected to hit us at 4:18 am. I grab Autumn from her room, and we lay the girls in our bed. Dallas opens the windows to try and alleviate some of the pressure, just in case it actually hits us. It's raining too hard, and he had to close them. We grab all our pillows and comforter and squeeze into the ONLY room in the house that has no windows (well, except for the pantry...and our closet. Why couldn't we just go in our closet? Hmm...anyway, I digress). The storm gets louder.

4:22 am -- D goes out to check on things...and declares it safe to leave the bathroom.

We get Autumn settled on the floor in our room, and D goes back to sleep. Audrey has just finished her bottle and is now laying on our bed kicking her legs. I am watching the storm tracker on TV.

Now that Audrey is fed...I'm going to try and get her back to sleep so I can go to sleep myself. *big yawn*
