4 months later....

Me again. The lazy blogger. So much has been going on, and a lot of it I didn't want to share.

When I get home this weekend, I'll put up some pictures of the past few months, and kind of tell my story in pictures.

The girls have been sick the past couple days. Strep. Yay. Big A was acting all funny at her soccer game on Saturday, and when we got home, she laid down and slept for 4 hours. We stayed home Sunday and worked on getting the house clean. I took her to Dr. L on Monday. On a whim, I had Little A checked, too. Both tested positive for strep, and Big A also has an ear infection. So we've been homebound for a couple days.

Back to work today. I'm off again Friday since the school is closed. T and I are going to the Nickelback concert on Saturday night, just the two of us. Can't wait :)

Autumn's logic is so funny. We drove by the Target that they are building on FM 544 one evening last week. She looked over, saw the lights on inside, and proclaimed "Target is OPEN! Let's go!" D tried to tell they weren't open yet, and she replied (with a 'duh' tone), "well their lights are on." LOL. So if the lights are on, it must be open....

Don't have much else to say right now...just finished lunch and now it's back to work! Hopefully I can remember to keep up with this...maybe I'll just post a quick update every night or every other night

I am a lazy blogger

Every time I have a blog, I forget about it after awhile. Not much new is going on here...it's been a roller coaster fall and early winter. VERY roller coaster.

Autumn's birthday is in....11 days. Christmas is in 13. I have not wrapped anything. Nor have i finished shopping. Haven't baked anything. I'm not really feeling it right now.

Hopefully it is all just the being sick that's put me in the low zone. Once I am over all of this, I will come out running, ready to get to baking and presents and HOLIDAYS.

I can't believe it is June already

I have nothing to blog about today, but I'm going to blog anyway.

Last week I dropped the kitchen sprayer into the running garbage disposal. I didn't mean to, but I was doing 3 or 4 things at once and just dropped it. The handle broke. I got another spray head from work, and I think D put it back together yesterday.

Autumn's bathroom is painted. It looks very good. I'll have to put pictures up soon. Last weekend, I came home from work on Saturday to find our bedroom in the process of being painted...it's orange! Ok, it's the color we picked, but WOW...it's really orange lol. Not Crayola marker orange, but definitely orange. One wall is a darker orange because the second can was a slightly different tint than the first can. It looks awesome. We also rearranged. The bed is on a different wall...looks odd and I'm not sure I like it. But we're leaving it like that for awhile. Maybe it will grow on me.

D put in some shelving just outside our bdroom door...it's the media shelving for the living room. Since our bedroom is just off the living room (no hallway or anything-I suppose you could call the tiny space a 'nook') it makes sense. All of the movies and video games are on those shelves. I don't know what we will do with the audio pier that used to house the DVDs (when we had the LCD tv instead of the projector), but I'm thinking of moving it into the dining room and using it in there somehow..

The only things left are...the rest of the kitchen and the pantry, the hallway (which we're fighting about a color), the study, and our bathroom. I can't believe we're finally getting these home improvement projects out of the way!

I'm taking the train to work now...I wasn't seeing a huge difference in my gas usage just working 3 days a week, but I think now I'll start to see it. I drive into Garland, park at the train station, and take the train into Dallas. Then a bus takes me to the edge of the shopping center where I work. My coworker takes it with me as well. I filled up Monday afternoon (since I was on E and sputtering lol) and my gauge still shows FULL. Hopefully this tank of gas will last me until the end of next week (or more).

It's now 11:15a, and Autumn is dozing on the couch and Audrey is sleeping in her crib. I think the dust and everything from the construction is really causing a lot of allergy problems. Both girls are congested.

That's all...I'm tired of writing, and the 'e' button on my computer is giving me fits.

my heart hurts a little

i've been thinking today about jess...

i did a very unhealthy thing....and looked up the article on her death. reading those words...made me relive the moment i found out and the grief that followed.

i remember so much, so many happy times. she was my best friend. i saw her just a week before she died. we were supposed to get together....supposed to get lunch 'sometime soon'.

'sometime soon' never came.

she's been gone over three years. and every time i think of her, it's as fresh as if it were yesterday.

a month

sorry.

i just didn't feel like updating. or writing out everything that is going on. or was going on.

still nothing about our stuff that was stolen. we got an insurance check and were able to replace a few things...but what i want replaced is irreplacable.

i am down to 3 days a week plus saturdays at work now. i'm not sure how this will work, or how long it will work. trying to figure out what to do there...it's more complicated than i care to share right now.

we have a long weekend....we're not going anywhere, so i'm planning to catch up on housework and try and get some more home improvement projects done. we have at least one birthday party to attend this weekend though. guess i should go get matthew a gift lol...what do you get for a one year old boy?

eventually i'll upload pictures to show of what home improvment projects we've done and are doing. except a majority of the pictures were on my laptop...GRR

i'm off to bed, well off to make sure audrey is full and asleep then i'll get in bed.

I'm discouraged

Monday our house was broken into while we were at work. They took 4 laptops (1 was a broken one), our LCD TV, the xBox 360, Wii, PS2 and some other stuff.

I'm beyond pissed, but more than that I'm DEVASTATED. Not over the STUFF, but the things I can't get back. I had thousands of pictures saved on my laptop and nowhere else. I had pics still on my digital camera that they took. I can't get those back...and I'm in tears over it. They stole both safes...one had all of our documents, plus some sentimental jewelry :(

I'm getting really discouraged...nothing has been posted online to be sold, and I called a computer shop a few minutes ago to see if any of the computers had been brought in to have the password removed...the bitch was like 'you'll never get it back, and even if we've had a computer brought in, I don't have to tell you about it!' I hung up on her...she was ranting at me about how I need to just call the police and move on with my life.

I'm so frustrated and angry. I just want my computer back. And the safes with the stuff in it...that's all. If they were to walk to the door, drop it off, and keep everything else, I'd be all right. I can't reduplicate those pictures.

Right now we're sitting at about $8k in losses. The adjustor is supposed to come out today...I'm working on the full inventory list right now.

*sigh* This sucks :(:( What the hell did we do to deserve this? And why do people have no regard for other people? Why do they feel entitled to just TAKE something that doesn't belong to them? Stupid selfish punks.

:( *cry*

We are up 3 to 1...

After the sorry performance Tuesday, the Stars won tonight! We are up in the series, 3 games to 1 :) Joel Lundqvist, Stu Barnes, and Steve Ott all scored tonight for us. Marty took a hit from Teemu Selanne...it was ugly.

Anyway, that's about all there is to report on the hockey front.

Tuesday was my birthday. D brought home Chili's and an ice cream cake, and we watched the Stars game.

This is my first week back to work...it has been crazy. I'm glad to be back though, and everybody has told me they are glad I am back, too. I'm glad tomorrow is Friday, though.
